What Is the Representation of Visual Attention?

Every day, our brains are flooded with massive amounts of information. We manage this influx by using attention—a filtering mechanism that selectively keeps what's important. But what's the fundamental unit that attention operates on? In this project, we aim to provide evidence that attention works on discrete objects and propose a computational model to describe this process.
